Schenck Process FPM became Coperion on August 1, 2024. This release predates that name change.
Samutprakarn, Thailand, Nov 20th 2023 – Schenck Process Food and Performance Materials (FPM), a world-class manufacturer who engineer and combine systems and solutions for global producers, today announces the official opening of its new Asia-Pacific hub, based in Thailand. The new offices and cutting-edge manufacturing plant, based in the state-of-the-art TIP 9 Industrial Complex in Samutprakarn, will combine sales, engineering, operations, manufacturing, aftersales and testing services, all on one site.
Offering a distinct approach to the processes that drive manufacturing, the site employs over 100 personnel, who expertly design, engineer and install processing and handling equipment, and integrated systems for customers operating in the food and performance material sectors – right across the Asia-Pacific region. While a dedicated aftersales team based at the hub support customers with preventive maintenance, repairs, spare parts and training.
Thailand was strategically chosen as the base due to its central location in the region, which is within easy reach of Schenck Process FPM’s Asia-Pacific clients. Samutprakarn has excellent transport links, making it easily accessible to customers and enabling Schenck Process FPM to attract the best local talent to support its fast-growing operations and team.
The facility will offer enormous benefits to customers, who will be able to visit the site to trial systems using their own machinery. The plant spans manufacturing processes from raw material through to quality control and final acceptance testing. A viewing gallery allows visitors to watch operations on the factory floor, while other provisions for the reception of customers include an onsite laboratory, system testing area and machine showcases. Video live streaming of tests is available for customers who prefer not to travel.
Mr. Dustin O’Farrell, Managing Director at Schenck Process FPM (Thailand), said, “We are delighted to offer customers not merely a sales office here in Thailand, but a full set of operations including manufacturing, testing and aftersales.
