This unit accepts divided dough pieces and forms them into ball shapes for the first prover and final molder. Gentle handling preserves the internal dough structure, and the process conditions the surface of the dough pieces for easier handling downstream.
The Baker Perkins Conical Rounder combines efficiency with hygienic, non-stick operation. It accepts divided dough pieces and forms them into ball shapes for easier handling and better presentation to the First Prover and final molder. It is a fully integrated part of Baker Perkins’ dough forming system for high output plant bakeries.
Optimum shape and structure with minimal work
The rounder gently rolls divided dough pieces using an open trough profile to preserve the internal dough structure. As well as forming the ball shape, the process conditions the surface of the dough pieces for easier handling downstream.
Dust free, hygienic and easy to clean
To prevent dough adhering to surfaces contact parts are made from polymer or have long-lasting, non-stick coatings and there is a fully-integrated air blowing system, so no oil or flour dust is required.
Easy calibration for product changes and repeatable set-up
The adjustable driven discharge-cone ensures that the dough pieces leave the rounder in a controlled manner at a constant speed, reducing the risk of double dough pieces and aiding positioning on the exit conveyor.
